FAREXPO Group of Companies

Our history

Orticon Company was founded in 1991 as a multifunctional enterprise engaged, among other activities, in exhibition organization. In October 1992, for the first time since 1913, an automobile show organized by Orticon took place in Saint-Petersburg. The event had a great success.

In 1996, anniversary year in Russian automobile industry, Orticon in collaboration with Moscow partner ASM-holding and London Company ITE organized Auto World Motor Show. This event has become the first Russian exhibition registered in the calendar of the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers OICA. In 2011 traditional spring show Auto World conveying up to 100000 visitors will take place in Saint-Petersburg for the 20th time. It’s remarkable that it is the only Motor Show show in Saint-Petersburg at the end of 2010.

In 1993 Orticon brought to the exhibition market another event: seasonal Fashion Industry shows. Nowadays these exhibitions are the largest in the North-Western Region in this category of events.

Time passed, market has changed. Each new exhibition represented the new stage of company development and finally Orticon became less and less resembling to the company created at the beginning of 90-s. New management methods came into use: enthusiasm and intuition were substituted by clear and professional decision making.

Evaluation of our 10-year experience led to some changes in company structure and philosophy. In 2002 Board of Directors decided to create a new corporate style and a new name better reflecting the activity of the company: FarExpo.
