Economic Forum of the Industry of Fashion

In Autumn 2012 XVI Economic Forum of the Industry of Fashion included 5 events with over 450 participants from Russia, Italy, Estonia and Kazakhstan. Representatives of over 85 retail store chains, department stores and shops came to the Forum from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ivanovo, Vologda, Perm, Orel, Voronezh, Yoshkar-Ola, Kostroma, Murmansk.

The programme:

  • Conference: ST. PETERSBURG’S FASHION MARKET: TRADE FORMATS, COMPETITIONS, DEMAND. (Held by Andrei Magarik, Rossiyskie Torgovye Marki portal, Saint Petersburg)
  • Training: MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE SHOP IN THE MALL. (Presented by Olga Savrasova, member of National Academy of fashion industry, expert of B2B-magazine PROfashion, Moscow)
  • Workshop: Fashion trends (Fashion trends for the S/S 2012). (Held by Luba Popova, Milan New Academy of Arts, NABA, Italy)
  • Training: Business process of creation industrial collections. (Held by Olga Koristova, a member of Russian Designers Union, academician of National Fashion Academy and decane of international marketing school Mod’Spe, Moscow)
  • Training: The Creation of Assortment in retail shops in Shopping Malls. (Held by Andrey Burmatikov, fashion consultant, Moscow)

Special Buyer Programme

In autumn 2012 the Fashion Industry International Tradefair was visited by 4214 specialists (the total amount of visitors was 10 035 people). They were owners of retail shops, sellers, wholesale purchasing agents, distributors and importers of fashion garments.

Business centre was open for buyers and wholesalers during all days. It was a special platform for negotiations and consultations. At the same time the Job-centre was working there. It was organized in cooperation with ProFashion under support of recruitment agency Job-In-Fashion. HR-specialists consulted visitors, provided them with all necessary information about employment in the fashion sphere.

During this program there is a contest “The most active Buyer”. The winner of autumn show has become sole proprietorship Elena Gadzhieva from Vologda. She won a special prize- the Economic Forum of the Fashion Industry VIP card for all events free-of-charge visiting.

The National Exposition of Bangladesh

In autumn 2012 at Fashion Industry International Fair second time a National Exposition of Bangladesh Companies was presented. 12 famous brands showed garments and knitwear men’s, women’s and children’s clothes, underwear, outwear of middle price and middle plus segment to Russian buyers. There were companies Apex Lingerie Limited, Fashion Design, Outwear Fashion, Manami Fashions, Rayon Tex, Mahmud Jeans and others.

The National Exposition of Italy

In autumn 2012 the National Exposition of Italian Companies was presented at The Fashion Industry International tradefair. Famous Italian manufacturer Studio Lovini, Maglifico Vema, Dal Mondo, Interpiume, Samaf, Seastar Milano, Franco Giazzi, Pellicceria Pozzi and Raganella, which located at the stand Area Italia, presented their new collections of women’s and men’s clothes (including large sizes garments, outwear, lingerie, outwear and house accessories).

The National Exposition of India

In Autumn exhibition for the first time ever The National exposition of India was represented. The biggest Indian associations AEPC and WWEPC presented 65 companies-manufactures of textile industry. Specialists could see new collections of men’s and women’s clothes, clothes for children, outwear, house textile and accessories. Presentation of Indian exposition was held in business center on October,11 at 11 am. At this presentation detailed information about Indian companies, specialties of work with Indian market etc. During the opening ceremony there was a Gala show of Indian designers at the podium.

Competition of creative projects “GENERATION NEXT”

In autumn 2012 “Farexpo” Exhibition group together with Bureau of Innovative Educational Technologies hold the Seventh International competition of creative projects «GENERATION NEXT» in which over 50 young experts of the fashion industry took part. The following high educational schools took part in the competition:
  • the St.-Petersburg State Art-Industrial Academy of A.L.Shtiglitsa
  • the St.-Petersburg State University of Service and Economy
  • the St.-Petersburg State University of Technology and Design
  • the State University of Economic, Finance, Law and Technologies (Gatchina)

Rewarding of the winner will take place at Solemn opening the “Fashion Industry. Spring-2013» on March 14, 2013. All winners are awarded by honorable certificates.
